There is not much to say about this desktop accessory named as “Christmas Tree” because it is an extremely simple application. What it does is basically decorates your desktop with Christmas symbolic items, such as Christmas trees, Christmas socks, Christmas trees’ balls, and else. Besides the decorating purpose, it adds a basic Christmas countdown clock, which naturally will get zero when Christmas comes to your location (it depends on time zones).
There eleven different skins to choose from and that’s it because there are no more skins available to download. What you can do is change the skin font using whichever font you like from the ones installed on your system. You can also choose some sound settings. First, you can choose if you want any sound coming form Christmas tree, the options being: Every hour, every half an hour, and never. Second, you can choose what kind of sound you want to here, from Chimes, Jingle Bells, and Notify. You can also select the Due Date (the date for which the countdown is applied) being the options the following: Christmas – December 24, 2008; Christmas, December 25, 2008; New Year – January 1, 2009; Julian Christmas – January 7, 2009.
There are some extra settings you can use to your convenience and likes:
- Load at Windows startup
- Always on top
- Display shadow
- Show days remaining
- Show stars
This cute desktop accessory is absolutely free and is available to download from the developer’s site on the Web.
